About the Design:
This is the full color edition with my maypop block. After years of experimental artist proofs, I have finally dialed ink the inks and techniques for a full color edition from this block. The design features an ultra detailed flowering and fruiting passionflower, or “maypop” as I always called them. These exotic (and delicious) native plants grew wild along the local railroad tracks when I was a kid, and even as an adult I don’t think I’ll ever tire of staring at their delicate flowers and bold fruit. (Note: this cost of this print is slightly higher on this color edition, because the inking process takes significantly longer. See process pics!)
