About the Design:
“Wildwood Flower“ Is a large folk art inspired block print featuring a guitar amidst several native wildflowers such as trillium, turks cap Lilly, and wood asters. This is part of my "Folk Instrument" series, which feature folk songs paired with their instruments. "Wildwood Flower" was the first song my own mamma taught me how to play on the guitar. I'm offering a few different color options for this print-- a less expensive monochromatic version as well as some more time intensive multicolor pieces. As always, less than 100 prints total (including all editions and artist proofs) will be sold from this hand carved block.
This particular print is made from a hand carved “Eco Carve” printmaking block.
The printed area of this artwork measures approximately 8 Inches wide by 16 inches tall.
Includes a custom cut, acid free matboard and backing board which measures 13x19 on the exterior and will fit into widely available standard frames.
The thick, archival printmaking paper used is sustainably forested, and made using 100% wind energy during the manufacturing process.
The inks used are all made right here in beautiful NC :)
Each print is signed in pencil as an “Artist a Proof” by me.
All New South limited edition blocks are limited to less than 100 imprints, including all editions and artist proofs, ensuring that every piece is special.
