  • Looking Ahead to 2026: Migration Stories

    Here in our beautiful region, the passage of time can be marked not just with pages of a calendar, but also with the ebb and flow of incoming species.  The sweet song of the white throated sparrow as they arrive from Canada, the iconic Tundra Swans and Snow Geese dazzling the Carolina Coast, the exciting moment when you hear that first “buzzing” sound that tells you the Ruby Throated Hummingbirds are back in your yard. 

  • In-Studio Shopping Appointments

    What can I expect from this visit?

    I (Katie) will be working in the studio when you stop by-- likely carving, pulling prints, or working on patterns for wallpaper and stationery. We'll chat as I work and I'll show you around the studio.  This will be a much more informal experience than my annual open studio demonstrations. We'll set up a display of our currently avalaible block prints, stationery, etc... upstairs so you can shop as we chat. When you're ready to checkout, I'll ring you up! 

  • Looking Back, Your Favorites from 2025

    My creative focus for 2025 was "communities" and I think we really delivered.  We really wanted to connect with y'all in person as much as possible this year, and to that end we worked a whopping 56 market days in 2025.

    We also collaborated with a number of local (and national) non-profits. Here are a few examples of how we got involved: 

  • Fat Bird Photography Guide- 2026

    With all the downtime and cold weather, I've been able to indulge in one of my favorite pastimes-- fat bird photography

    The goal of this activity is to see which of the birds in my yard are so puffed up they are more pom-pom bird shaped than bird shaped.

  • Pattern Spotlight: Golden Summer

    The species featured in this pattern include: Purple Coneflower, Bee Balm, Black-Eyed Susan, Goldfinch, Eastern Tiger Swallowtail, Bluebird, Yellow Passionflower, Dill, Cleome, Black and Blue Salvia, and Zinnia.

  • Red Wolf- One year update on Conservation Efforts!

    It's officially been a year since I debuted my large block print ever-- the American Red Wolf at Alligator River. To date, we've raised $4,161 for red wolf conservation.

    Katie visits Sandy Creek Park in Durham, NC in search of the Yellow-Crowned Night Herons that visit each spring.  She discovers a kid-friendly wildlife hot-spot in the heart of the NC Triangle.
